Regali

impegni a scuola, a casa ecc...

You may have seen that I'm not showing up much:
commitments at school and at home ecc...
...but I keep a small timeframe for my hobbies.

Così... preparo qualche regalo di Natale,
soddisfo qualche richiesta
e proseguo nelle mie sperimentazioni.

So... I prepare some gifts for Christmas,
I satisfy some requests
and I keep experimenting.

... anzi rifatto!
(per vederli più grossi basta cliccarci sopra!)

This the work that I did
...better say redone!
(To view them bigger click on 'em!)

(the photos aren't great... but time is really bad
and lightning isn't good even outdoor!)
My husband, that's not so interested in my Creations
yesterday said:
"What a pity that in the photos
you can't see the beauty!"
When I recovered from the astonishment
...I was almost touched :)))

Una novità, quest'anello:
particolare, d'effetto... ma troppo impegnativo!
Le novità sono ancora in allestimento,
allora ...
stay tuned!!!
Buon we!

A new thing, this ring:
strange, snappy... but too much challenging!
The innovations are still under construction
so...
Stay tuned!
Have a nice Weekend!

Ice resin tutorial

creato quando me lo avevate chiesto
... ma poi dimenticato!

Occorrente:
- filo di rame
- colla vinavil
- immagini d'epoca
- resina bi-componente
(che potete trovare on-line su Voglia Creativa)

Procedura:
Ritagliate un'immagine che vi stimola,
che sia figurativa, scritta, fotografica o altro.
Con il filo di rame, battuto, realizzate
una sagoma della stessa dimensione.

This was a terrible week:
every afternoon passed at school for the orientiring.
I had time to do nothing
so I will show you my tutorial, a bit in a hurry,
made by me when you asked me to do it
...I forgot it (sorry!).

What you need:
-copper wire
-vinavil glue
-old images
-bi-component resin
(you can find it on Voglia Creativa)

How to do:
Get an image that you like.
With knocked copper wire,
make a silhoulette with the same dimension.

Add some vinavil on the back of the silhouette
and place the image so it doesn't move.

Quando la colla è secca...

And when the glue has got sticky...

preparate la colla bi-componente
(le prime volte io pesavo, misuravo, controllavo...
ora vado a occhio)
... mescolate bene e aspettate giusto qualche minuto
come suggeriscono le istruzioni.

Prepare the bi-component glue...
(first time i used to measure every single thing,
now I feel more sure)
...mix well and wait a minute or so...
just like the instruction says!

Place some resin on the back then place more on the front.

Place it in a smooth surface
and let it rest for 18/24 hrs
and... don't try to touch them :D
Then, carefully, tear it out
and... the end!
Enjoy... those are long jobs but when done they make you feel soo good!

(... tranquilli, noi siamo molto animalisti,

Good luck to my son that tomorrow
has got his first "hunt"!
(It's the first excursion that lasts 1 day (so no sleeping at home)
I will miss him :(((

Chi vuole venirmi a trovare...
Cosa tocca fare a noi insegnanti!!!

Monica

Who wants to see me...
On Sunday I'm at SCANDIANO
for SAINT CATERINA's fair
...but with a booth for the middle school.
What do we teachers need to do!

Grace

Qualche tempo fa, in piena fase sperimentale,

Some time ago, in a full experimental phase,
I made this necklace by taking inspiration from Pinterest.

Chips e perle di ametista, perle di fiume, lino, pizzo...

Chips, amethyst pearls, river pearls, flax,lace...

... e rame ovviamente.

And copper... obviously.

I left this style because I'm getting ready for Christmas
...but soon I return on it
because I love wearing those things.

Domenica mercatino?
... forse sarò a CAVRIAGO (RE)
... o forse no!
Meglio chiedermi conferma appena prima,
se vi interessa saperlo.
Intanto... buon we a tutte!

Monica

Flea market on Sunday?
Meh... It's always impossible to say
if I can go to those because weather is my enemy...
Maybe I will go to CAVRIAGO (RE)
...or no!
It's better to ask me right before it,
if you want to know.
Now... Happy Weekend to everybody!

Brooches with dragonfly

fra me e C.

Like everytime that you stimulate my fantasy
the cause is yours requests
...and that's what came this time from the mail exchange between me and C.

...she asked me to bind a dragonfly (whose C is fond) to a brooch

Ne ho realizzato due versioni molto simili:
quella sopra, più lineare;
quella sotto, leggermente più ricca di riccioli.

I made 2 similar versions:
the one in the above image, more linear;
the one in the image below, more rich in details.

Both are protected with a gloss that enhances its light.

Eccoli qui, entrambe, in parata.

In the image below you can see them
side by side.

...and this is the effect that
you see when it's worn
over a big scarf.

I want to remind you that there are 2 uses:
a brooch and a hair clip
(i know that the image is blurry but,
after the 200th auto-photographing
attempt, my hands said "Stop!")

Comunque... presto li trovate su Artesanum
... se a C. non piacciono!
A presto!

Monica

Anyway... you will be able to see
them on Artesanum soon
(if C doesn't like them!)
See you soon!

Sbalziamo???

Today I'm making a small post because it's a full time day...
I wanted to show you my tests with the overhang technique,
tested right after getting enamored of  Lucia's work.

Those tests were made before her last post
and so those are my tests...
and cause of this those are very limitated.

... come dire: sbalzo creativo!

Did you know that...
for the square I hammered on a hole
that's in my anvil...
a... creative strike!

For those i used the tool to make
bowls (i never remember the name!) and my hallmarks

... con le immancabili gocce di resina!

...with the necessary resin tears

Grazie Lucia... è bello ricevere questi stimoli!!!

Even if I think I'm not going to use this technique so much
because I need more tools
...I'm sure it will help me to get more interesting effects!
Thanks Lucia... It's good to receive those incentives!!!

Domenica purtroppo niente mercatini,
Buon we a tutte!

Monica

On Sunday no flea markets
because I have to go to my big son's confirmation.
Happy weekend to everybody!

Fiori e perle

My heart is all jumping from old certainties and new tendencies.
So I create creations that have parts of both,

Those 2 necklaces are very similar.
the difference lies in the closure and in some river pearls

This is the first that stops, like a real Y-like necklace,
entering the small circle in the big one.

This is the second:
more easy to wear but with a similar look (even if it's older)

Non chiedetemi il perchè dell'azzurro...
ho fatto le foto nello stesso momento :(

Don't ask me "why the blue?"...
I took the pictures in the same moment :(

Comunque in entrambi i casi
l'effetto indossato è simile a questo.

Anyway in both cases
the worn look is like this.

... ma presto riprenderemo
con le sperimentazioni
... seguitemi!

Monica

...more experiments
to come...
...follow me!

Reve...

Altra creazione con i nuovi materiali,
...dal gusto nostalgico e retrò.

One more creation with the new materials,
...with a nostalgic and retrò feel.

lunga...

The necklace can be worn in 2 ways:
long...

...or with the double loop that embraces the neck.

This creation is dedicated to my friend Roberta
that encourages me to revalue french.
(...I don't know if she will be pleased... because it lacks the circumflex accent!)

Ditemi cosa ne pensate dei miei esperimenti!
... nei prossimi giorni
ne arriveranno altri!
A presto!

Monica

Let me know what you think about my experiments!
More to come...
in the next days!
See you soon!
